Final Cut Pro Workflows: The Independent Studio Handbook by Jason Osder and Robbie Carman, Amigo MediaAs Final Cut Pro instructors, we get a lot of questions that go beyond editing technique; questions about how to implement Final Cut Pro in real projects.

Final Cut Pro Workflows: The Independent Studio Handbook is written to give the perspective necessary to answer these ‘big picture’ or ‘real world’ questions.

Unlike books that focus exclusively on editing technique and the graphical user interface, Final Cut Pro Workflows: The Independent Studio Handbook puts Final Cut Pro in context of current postprodcution technologies and methods.

The focus is on the concepts and methods that will prepare the modern video professional to thrive in the Final Cut Pro postproduction environment.

Thanks! Posted on April 22nd, 2008 by Jason

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to see Rob speak at NAB. He had a great turn out and lots of good questions. We also sold-out in the bookstore - so thanks for that too. We’d love to hear feedback on all of the above here at this site.

Color Workflows Posted on January 25th, 2008 by Jason

Color is hot!

Since Rob came back from being part of the first group certified by Apple to teach the new app, the interest is intense.  Check his piece on Lynda.com  - this is the best introduction to the software that I have seen so far.

Of course, a lot of the excitement from our point of view is in the workflow area. There are definitely some new media management conundrums to be unraveled and new paths to be discovered - we love that.

And, from another point of view, a lot of the interest is economic.  Are we seeing yet another post production task conquered by the desktop Mac platform?
